Marco Vergini - Piano

Marco Vergini was trained as a pianist at the “G.Rossini” conservatory of Pesaro where he began his solist career performing the Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto in G minor with the “Filarmonica marchigiana” at twelve years old. He studied first with Ettore Peretti and then with Giovanni Valentini. He graduated in 2000 with summa cum-laude and an honorific mention.

 

He kept on his studies at the International Pianist Academy “Incontri col Maestro” of Imola in 1997, where he awarded a diploma in 2003. There, he participated in important masterclasses with musicians such as A.Lonquich, L.Lortie, M.Alberto, M.Béroff, L.Howard, B.Petrushansky, A.Jasinski, A.Weissenberg, A. Ciccolini.

 

He performed in great concert halls in Italia and abroad - “Le Muse” at Ancona, “G.B.Pergolesi” at Jesi, “D.Alighieri” at Ravenna, “G.Verdi” at Pisa, “Sala degli Affreschi” of Milano, “G.Rossini” for the Ente Concerti of Pesaro, “Malibran” for the theater association “La Fenice” of Venezia, in the “F.Liszt” concert hall of Budapest, in the Hoschule Konzertsaale of Berlin, Music University of Syracuse in New York - and in the prestigious “Roque d’Anthéron” festival of Lourmarin, participating in the  execution of the 48 preludes and fugues by D.Shostakovich broadcast in live by “France Culture”. Recently he contributed to the complete performance of Gorge Crumb’s Makrokosmos at the Sagra Malatestiana Festival of Rimini.

He collaborated with many orchestras such as the Orchestra Sinfonica of Pesaro, he performed for the National meeting of the FAO in 1998 the Orchestra del Conservatorio di Pesaro at the “G.Rossini”concert hall, with the Orchestra Sinfonica of Grosseto, with the Orchestra da Camera delle Marche, the Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese, with conductors such as L. Ferrara, G. DiStefano, D. Crescenzi, M. Zuccarini, A. Yanaghisawa, M. Marvulli, M. Mariotti, M. Quarta.

 

Some of his performances had been broadcast by the RAI International, Radio 3 RAI, WCLV Classic Radio Cleveland, radio France Culture.

 

He won numerous National and International competitions – the XVIII edition del Premio Venezia, “A.Scriabin” of Grosseto, “A.B.Michelangeli” of Foligno.

Recently he has been awarded at the XXVII edition of the prestigious International Piano Competition “A.Casagrande” of Terni.
