
Patricia Hussey - Mezzo-Soprano

Patricia Hussey, mezzo-soprano has performed professionally in more than 80 opera productions which includes more than 700 performances with the Washington National Opera, Wolf Trap Opera, and Washington Concert Opera. Her roles include Grimgerde in Die Walkure, Hansel, Principessa, Dame Doleful , Zita, Samantha in the Balade of Baby Doe, Dinah in Trouble in Tahiti, the Page in Rigoletto, Julie in Dangerous Liaisons and numerous times as an oratorio soloist and professional chorus singer. She teaches voice in her private voice studio and is an adjunct music professor at the George Mason University School of Music. She was a Friday Morning Music Club Scholar and a Metropolitan Opera Regional Finalist. She continues singing and performing in the Washington DC region and is also the cantor at her church.
Pat has her Master’s Degree in Vocal Pedagogy & Performance and is recently certified in Levels I, II, and III of the Somatic Voicework the Lo Vetri Method in Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM). She has been a member of the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA) for more than three decades and is also a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS).
