Mi-hae Park - Soprano

Seoul National University, South Korea

Korean Soprano Mi-Hae Park studied at Seoul National University and then at the Julliard School of Music in New York. She made her debut in the role of Woglinde in Wagner's Das Rheingold at the New York Metropolitan Opera House in the 1988/89 season. Her main repertoire includes roles such as Violetta, Mimi, Gilda, Pamina, Micaela, etc. She had the honor of singing with the three famous tenors – Domingo, Pavarotti and Carreras at a concert in Japan in 2002. She gave many recitals, alone and with other singers, among which are two duo recitals with Carreras in 2004 and 2007. Her outstanding contribution to the field of music has been recognized by several honorary doctorates, one of which is from the Moscow Gnessin Institute. At present, she is a Professor of Seoul National University.
