Donald Morelock - Director of Young Artists Program and Piano Teachers Workshop

Donald Morelock, has led an active life as a piano professor, organizer of piano teacher workshops and national speaker on topics relating to piano pedagogy.  He is the Co-Founder of the American-Russian Piano Institute and has brought internationally talented pianist to study with the piano faculty at the Moscow Conservatory, Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, and the St. Petersburg Conservatory.

 

His students have won top prizes in MTNA and other national competitions, some three hundred have transferred to top music schools in the US and several have graduated with honors from the Paris, St. Petersburg and Moscow Conservatories. Other students have successfully competed in the Van Cliburn, Tchaikovsky, Queen Elizabeth of Belgium, Busoni and Arthur Rubinstein Competitions.  

 

His topics with piano teachers include building a young pianist technically and musically from the intermediate to advanced pre-college levels.
