Mark McInturff - Architect
Architect Mark McInturff FAIA is one of Washington's most distinguished residential architects. Now in his 42nd year of practice, the work of his firm, McInturff Architects, has won more than 300 design awards, is frequently published, and is the subject of three monographs.
In addition, he has taught at the university level for 34 years, both at the University of Maryland and, currently, at the Catholic University of America, where he co-teaches a graduate design studio.
A significant part of this teaching has been to lead groups to sites all over Europe and the United States, and as far afield as Sri Lanka and Japan, where students have recorded their experiences in drawing form — thereby stealing beauty.
