Harry Jaecks - Artist

Harry Lloyd Jaecks studied drawing and printmaking at the Maryland Institute of Art. He continued his studies with private instruction in oil and watercolor. H.L. Jaecks produces figure studies, landscapes and portraits in oil, egg tempera, watercolor and graphite. His work is focused on the New England coast, his native Chesapeake and rural Piedmont. H.L. Jaecks’ current projects include Another Time, a series of graphite portraits of Chesapeake watermen from the 1960s to the present day and Out of Tilghman, a collection of paintings of Chesapeake workboats paired with first person accounts of the men and women who crabbed, oystered and fished from their decks. Original works by H.L. Jaecks are represented in corporate and private collections through out the United States. He maintains studios in Millersville, Maryland and Rockport, Massachusetts.
